 The
right theme for your bathroom can turn your bathroom from a place
that you use when you need to shower, to a place that you want to
go when you need to shower.
The question is, “What theme do you want for your bathroom
décor?” You can choose a monochromatic theme like red.
After making such a decision, you just need to go out and find things
in various shades of reds – various shades that are around
the same tone.
You may take your theme up a step and choose something like stripes.
If you choose a pattern, make sure that you don’t get everything
in that pattern – it can be overwhelming. Instead, maybe just
get a striped rug, striped shower curtain, and striped window covering.
Bathrooms also look great in complimentary colors like red and
green. If you decide to take this route, make sure that you pick
one of the colors to be the dominant color and then use the other
color as an accent. You do not want red and green to be competing
colors – it will feel too hectic and uncomfortable.
You may want to buy themed bathroom décor of another sort.
Maybe you want a basketball bathroom or a Hawaiian-themed bathroom.
Again, not everything needs to fall into the theme. It’s ok
if your soap dish is a plain soap dish. Just make sure that it is
indeed a plain soap dish. If you have decided on a Hawaiian them,
you definitely do not want a basketball styled soap dish! That would
look, in a word, ridiculous!
If you do not quite know what theme you want for your bathroom
décor, go out and start looking what stores have to offer.
Some stores may have everything you want to fit a certain themes.
Other themed bathroom décor may be harder to find, especially
if you pick a theme that closely matches your unique personality.
In this case, it may be a theme that you can build over months or
years, not just during a clean-sweep makeover of your bathroom.
