Let’s
face it, we would all like to have a shower the approximate size
of a football field but the reality is that we are both stuck in
a shower that allows us just enough room to wash our hair by just
barely grazing the side of the shower. For this reason there are
products and tips available for saving space in the shower. You
will feel a lot of relief and satisfaction when you try these tips
for creating a little more breathing room in the shower.
In a traditional-size bathroom, the bathtub tends to take up quite
a bit of room. To give the illusion of more space, you might consider
replacing your old tub with a lower-walled bathtub.
Look for a 5-foot tub with a flat bottom. They’re perfect
for showering, but still deep enough for a pleasant bath.
Choose a simple shower door or shower screen. Stay away from overly
ornate designs, as they don’t help maintain visual openness.
In the shower use a caddy that hangs directly from the shower head.
In these you can store all of your shampoo/conditioner, soap, and
shaving gel. Some caddy’s come with a space for a razor, too.
If you are still feeling cramped install plastic hook on the inside
of your shower to hang Loofah’s, wash cloth or other items.
Always have a bathtub mat in the bottom of your shower to prevent
slipping. Installing a hand rail is a good use of shower space,
because safety always comes first.
Another good thing to do is to clean out your empty bottles and
containers from the shower this will provide you with instant space.
Try to avoid collecting things or holding onto something that clearly
should be thrown out.
Always keep your shower clean and clear of clutter. This is a health
and safety precaution worth taking. Most of all be comfortable in
your shower, and enjoy.
